ASCII: Interview with LA-King

Last season’s Alltid Supporter Cup was won by LA-King after six historic wins, earning him the Alltid Supporter crown. Soon the next edition will get underway, a good opportunity to get to know the reigning champion a little bit better:

How did you discover Hattrick?

I found out about Hattrick one day more than three years ago while reading a newspaper. My holidays just started and I had lots of spare time, which I now successfully waste here day by day. If only I’d knew back then… :p
Anyway, there was a great article about HT, and the option to own your very own football club and compete with others from your own country seemed so appealing at that time I just had to try it. As you can see, it really got under my skin since then :)

Why did you name your team Dead Kennedys?
Well, it was an obvious choice for me – Dead Kennedys are (were) the best punk-rock band ever, with an outstanding performance alltogether. Irony and satire at its finest!
I could also say that I share most of their social and political views and that’s another reason why I decided to name my club after them to show respect to the true legends.

Why did you choose the nick you have?
Another obvious choice – due to my lack of imagination I just translated my family name and voila, I got my nickname. Funny enough, I was a translator as soon as I started ;)

Would you like to tell us something about yourself in real life?
I don’t believe in real life ;)

What was the highlight of your HT career so far?
Probably my achievements in various cups. I managed to get into top 16 in our National cup with a very young team, but with fierce competitors. It sure was fun to beat some of those teams from our I. & II. league with a much worse squad. I also won the Staff Cup when I became an LA, which is another thing I’m quite proud of. And of course, I have to mention the prestigous Alltid
Cup, which was very well organized and not at all easy to win :)

How did you discover Alltid?
Frankly, I can’t remember, but I sure know I’m not sorry I did!

Do you visit Alltid often?
Several times a week, at least. It’s great to see it improving all the time, with new statistics and all…

I see that you are a translator for Slovenščina, do you use Alltid in that language? What do you think of the translation?
Yes, I use Alltid in my mother tongue. The translation itself is a great idea, it will certainly make Alltid available for more people which is a good thing.
There’ s still some work to be done with our translation, but I’m sure that will be sorted out very soon.

What made you decide to join the first Alltid Supporter Cup?
My schedule was blank, the prize was attractive… need I say more? :)

Does any match on your road to victory stand out?
I remember that the match against stijlloos was rather tight till the end, with 4 goals in the last 10 minutes. That one could’ve gone either way, but I was the luckier of the two in the end. Still, ryani is a great manager and I think he deserves to win Alltid cup one day.

Were you very surprised to ultimately win the cup?
With all the gifts I sacrified to St. Random I’d be surprised if I didn’t :p

Now that you have Alltid Supporter, has your life changed a lot? ;)
Certainly, with all the handy links and stats it made browsing the HT related pages a lot faster and easier. I can check almost any relevant fact I need to know in a matter of seconds, which is surely a brilliant and very helpful addition.

What do you prefer – Union or Laško? And would you commit ritual suicide if you by accident drank the wrong one and enjoyed it?
Laško, by all means. I almost feel offended by your question ;))
If I accidentaly drank AND enjoyed Union, I would probably cut me head off with a blunt scythe, jump off the nearest building and run over myself with a car. For a start…
