However, except if this integration allows new stats, i fail to see any advantage. However having Alltid integrated into HT means it will follow HT developpment processes (which i found very worrying).

Anyway, it’s good news for you and your work, i’m not sure it will be the same for us (customers).

generally, this is good news but that also means we won’t see new features such as Cup Manager or even famous Alltid Cups…

The big question is – will be these stats a supporter only feature ?

@mellon-charles, I don’t think you have to worry too much. There is no reason why it should get worse. It will still be me doing this, except now I’ll have full access to all the data in Hattrick, and I’ll even get payed for doing it.

I will be shocked if this turns out to be a bad thing for the customers!

very nice advancement, but I always liked alltid separated cause we were a community apart from HT. I enjoyed being supporter of this great tool which helped me at my beginning of my Ht career. Anyway if you decided to join HT, there is nothing much to say.

@ol-pepe: That’s not entirely true. It’s not exactly clear how it will work, but everything won’t be supporter-only.

@mellon-charles: I understand your worries, but I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. The CHPP is very limited both in terms of what I’m allowed to do, and what is possible to do. HT is very motivated for this, so it should be no problem at all for me to do what I want :)

That’s the part I don’t like it: “Unfortunately … the Alltid site will disappear over time” :(

I think some parts of Maptrick will make sense to have on Hattrick, and will work even better than they would on a separate site. But some features, particularly flagchaser tools, might not be proper to implement there. It’s difficult to answer because we haven’t talked about it in detail yet.

However, there are others who will take over the parts which we can’t implement, so no worries :)

BUT: little worries about the quality i have… – when i just compare, what YOU did the last years, how huge, how much quality, how (very!) helpful (thanks a lot!!), and compare it to what HT’s did last years (sdgfskdk äääsdiii LL öö sm :-)) ) ... i really hope, that the loss of independence and (surely!) loss of some of your “how-to-do’s” will on the other hand little improve the way how HT’s do their job ;-p

As I don’t want to pay supporter for Hattrick because the HT’s were really bad in communication (= announcing changes,reacting to game developments, reported bugs in tactics, ...) and implementing changes (bugs) and I wanted to wait for a year or two if they become more reliable, this development is a bitter pill for me.

Congrats to weird_ed, who did a good job. But this is a pity for all managers playing HT without paying supporter. :(

Alltid is a wonderful site, and at today’s status I’m not sure that Hattrick site is good enough in order to support all the huge work you’ve done. Perhaps NEVER will be.
Why there’s the need to kill Alltid site? Why isn’t possible a marriage keeping on the two sites and the Alltid plugin for Firefox?

Well done and good luck with this. Being both an Alltid plus and a Hattrick supporter, this will have little impact on myself. But it is an interesting development from the perspective of Hattrick being “free” to play. I think Alltid has been one of the tools (there are obviously others) that have enabled people to play Hattrick successfully without paying for supporter. It’s interesting to see that they want to integrate Alltid to Hattrick and make at least some (I would suspect most) of the stats available only for supporters. From the Hattrick perspective it’s obviously in their interest to continue maintain the image of a “free” game, while making paying supporter a effective requirement for playing the game in the longer term. It will be interesting to see how this develops in the future, PsicoTSI next?

But again, congrats and let’s hope you can bring some life to the HT teams development efforts.

So when can we expect a new HT in the HT team… HT-ed is his name or it was HT-weird i dunno :P

Alltid for life cost about 10€, and HT supporter for 6 months costs 15.5€, so I guess it’s a great deal for you since you used alltid for several days, months or even years and you still have 6 months for free as HT supporter!

If the site desapears all of the non suporters will loose the ability to check statistics. Its a way to make people become a paying hattrick suporter. Its a great deal for weird_ed that i’m sure is gooing to be paid for letting hattrick take over its site and we get a litle more poor by loosing this site.

Please read the Global Thread! Only some stats will only be for supporters… Not every single one!

Plus I’m guessing this will mainly be the supa-dupa new stuff ed is teasing us with.

If Hattrick was down due to scheduled work or due to server breakdown or other stupid things, it was possible to browse through the world of alltid and other Hattrick-related pages, so one could prepare for the next opponent and so on. I guess these days are over now. But this must be the drawback if you integrate a product that works into a product that doesn`t ;-)

Btw: Couldn`t you afford taking over Hattrick and integrate it into alltid???

When I bought the Alltid subscription (1 month ago) it was because it was a one time fee (for life). This is because I don’t like timely subscriptions. I really feel “deceived” with this deal beacuase HT Supporter is not a one time fee.

Here’s a proposition: Make a new kind of HT Supporter (HT-Alltid-Suporter) that can have access only to the Alltid functionalities (within Hattrick) for life.

Congratulations to weird_ed on his personal success. Too bad most of its options will be a feature only for Hattrick supporters. As it as announced in Hattrick today player’s match history will be supporter-only, but most of the other functions probably end up this way too. That’s sad because Alltid was a huge help for the occasional players.

Indeed nothing will be added to the non-supporter player page as announced by Hattrick (and by Adalbert_Wichura’s post)... probably only a new graphic page… but weird_ed if you now have voice in the hacktrick team please ask (at least) to keep match history for free. Thanks anyway, BTW I’m sure another free tool will appear if not in ALLTID/HT.

I’d spend my time helping with Alltid, as I did so far, translating the site to brazilian portuguese, but not for Hattrick. I really didn’t like this news. Alltid was the kind of thing that made the “the best things in life are free” true.

Firstly: I absolutely applaud your wisdom and Hattrick’s wisdom.

You deserve whatever good rewards you get and continue to gain by taking Altid into Hattrick. Your service to the HT world has been immense, and I hope it has brought you as much fun as you have provided for others. I hope it continues to be enjoyable for you.

That said, Alltid was a “large planet” in the HT solar system. As the result of others [losing interest|lacking resources|whatever] many “smaller planets” gravitated into Alltid’s orbit.

Maptrick and NT-DB are two that interest me … Foxtrick flags was another (? I am less familiar with this). I’m sure there were others I have not mentioned.

CHPP applications came about because there were things that were not part of Hattricks “core business”; but those things were of interest to the HT community and various clever people put things together as “shareware” that HT itself could not possibly justify developing.

I have no doubt they put CHPP on hold a few years ago because they wanted to focus on “core business”.

Now Alltid has become “core business”: congratulations. But there must be things that “wierd_ed” was prepared to [look at|host|support] that “HT-wierd_ed” cannot justify supporting.

This is entirely appropriate, and I intend no criticism.

But the question I have is this:

are there things that “wierd_ed” [is willing to|needs to|wants to] pass on to others in the HT community?

I understand that HT has frozen CHPP. But “weird_ed” -> “HT-wierd_ed” takes a number of CHPP apps with him.

HT may be happy for them to be orphans, even if “wierd_ed” may not be. I do not wish to embarrass you in any way.

But I am certainly interested in keeping NT-DB alive; and I am also interested in restoring Maptrick if that is possible. There may be others such as myself who are willing to pitch in and add resources to this effort.

If you are able to shed any light on this situation I think the HT community will be pleased. If not, I think we will all understand.

I share some fears with those others:

1) Is hattrick incorporating this site to make HT supportership more attractive by locking some of the cool features and infos this site provides to supportership access only?!?

2) What about the pormotions table for instance: since HT wasn’t able to provide the promotions/relegations changes earlier than “right before” the next season’s start and Alltid could, what about if Alltid gets incorporated? Will the benefits remain?

I guess everyone is getting the point, I guess if those features of free access to statistics will be locked there will be clones of this site with the only disadvantage of not having been able to collect as much formerly data…

Yet I’m truely happy for you that your work pays off – well done :)
